We are all about
conservation education
We are the Long Lake Conservation Foundation (LLCF).
We are a non-profit, volunteer-operated organization.

Our story is entwined with Long Lake Conservation Center in Palisade, MN. The Center is a public, residential environmental learning center founded in 1963 to introduce youth in MN to conservation education.
As the center grew, the need to support it grew, as well. The Long Lake Conservation Foundation was created to raise and allocate funds to support conservation education.
Today, we support programs at the Center and in our community that promote conservation education for all Minnesotans.

The Long Lake Conservation Foundation’s purpose is to raise, receive, and appropriate funds with a goal to enhance environmental education.
Like the monarch butterfly, our mission spans generations.
We support conservation education.
To us, conservation means the wise use of natural resources.
Our support is rooted in our community of stewards, volunteers, and donors.
Volunteers with a purpose
The LLCF is 100% volunteer-operated.

We see almost immeasurable value in providing people, especially youth, with resources to learn about nature and understand the importance of conservation, the wise use of resources.

We support conservation education by:
-
Providing scholarships
-
Securing and administering grants
-
Hosting educational events
-
Working with our local community to raise funds and resources for conservation education
